All the way back to the 1960s and the villains Silver Age origins. Spider-Man and Green Goblin go back a long way. Click Clean, and after a brief animation the stats will be restored. Red portions on the stat bars will indicate the performance that has been lost due to degradation. To do this, select the weapon in the weapon wheel and click Maintain. The player can clean their own weapons almost anywhere, provided they have gun oil in their inventory. Weapons can be cleaned by a gunsmith for a small fee. The weapon must be cleaned to restore its performance. As a weapon degrades, its performance is gradually reduced. This degradation is represented by the Condition stat. Throwable weapons like throwing knives, tomahawks, and dynamite cannot be upgraded, but alternate versions with improved stats can be crafted.įirearms will degrade through regular use and through exposure to water, snow, or mud. Unique weapons that are collected cannot be customized. Only weapons that can be purchased have the option to be customized. Performance boosts from multiple upgrades will stack. When viewing each option, the gray portion of the stat bar provides a preview of the performance boost for that option. Different weapon types have different options. These include longer barrels, barrel rifling, and improved sights. Several of the component options provide performance boosts to Range or Accuracy. Many firearms can be upgraded at any gunsmith by using the Customize option. Regular arrows are available from gunsmiths, but the alternate arrows must be crafted. Similarly, the Bow has a choice of arrow types that can be used to increase Damage. The most powerful ammo types must be crafted. Some of these ammo types can be purchased at gunsmiths and general stores. Some will also boost the Range or Accuracy. The Familiarity bonus gained from using the Cattleman Revolver will be applied to Granger’s Revolver also, even if there are no kills with that particular weapon.įirearms can be loaded with a variety of ammo types that boost the weapon’s Damage. Unique variations of this, such as Granger’s Revolver, can be acquired. For example, the Cattleman Revolver is the handgun equipped at the beginning of the game. Note that Familiarity for a particular model of weapon applies to all variations of that model. When the Reload bar reaches its max potential (no gray segment), then Familiarity is at maximum. The Reload bar on the weapon wheel provides a clue to a weapon’s Familiarity, however.
As Familiarity increases, Range, Reload speed, and Accuracy increases.įamiliarity is only shown in the weapon compendium. It represents how often a weapon is used, and is based on the total number of kills - humans and animals combined - achieved with each weapon. Accuracy does not apply to melee knives and machetes, so its value is zero for those weapons.įamiliarity is a lesser known variable that influences the performance of firearms and the bow only. Fire Rate and Reload do not apply to melee weapons and throwable weapons, so their stat bars are black, meaning zero value. Some of the weapon stats do not apply to all weapon types. See the section below about Weapon Degradation for more details on weapon maintenance. The stats for firearms can also be viewed by selecting the weapon in the weapon wheel and clicking Maintain. When purchasing new weapons at a gunsmith, each page of the catalog includes a preview of the base stats for that weapon. Note that these stats are the base stats for each weapon, and do not reflect any stat bonuses from upgrades or alternate ammo that may be equipped. Weapon stats are also displayed in the Compendium.
#INTO THE DEAD 2 LOST ALL MY WEAPONS UPDATE#
The stats will update for each option selected. Just below the stats for most weapons are options for alternate ammo types or weapon configurations. This shows that the stat can be increased with different ammo types or weapon modifications. Some stat bars have a gray portion, representing the maximum potential for that stat. The white portion of the bar is the value of the stat in the weapon’s current configuration. Each stat is displayed as a bar with four segments, so stats are typically given values ranging from zero to four. When a weapon is selected, its stats are displayed in the center of the weapon wheel. The quickest way to view the stats for any weapon is to open the weapon wheel.
